Associate Professor Erin Kimmerle Holds Media Availability Regarding
Dozier School And The Exhumation Of The Dozier Cemetery. The
Families That Have Relatives In The Cemetery Are Pictured Below. Glen
Varnado is last on right.

The Dozier School For Boys expose' has been in national headlines for going on five years, one of the longest running stories of abuse at a boys reform school in the
nation. Thirty one unmarked graves were found on the property and the school was closed in 2011. The University of South Florida was granted a permit to do a
forensic search of the graveyard and found 50 grave sites and many more possible grave sites with the use of Ground Penetrating Radar. All of these were hidden in
heavy brush, unmarked and unknown as to how they died or who they were. One section revealed rows of 5' x 3' rectangular shapes. Those are coffins for 11 year old
boys or younger, based on a youth growth rate calculator.

Professor Erin Kimmerle, and seven families have asked for exhumation from the state so they could recover their relatives bodies. Glen Varnadoe, below, represents
one of those families. Even with national outrage over this discovery of teens and pre-teens, there are officials in the Tallahassee government that do not want this
exhumation to take place because they know many more bodies will be found. The reputation of Marianna, Florida and Jackson County is in question. Since you could
hardly call this a cemetery, as most of the bodies were not even under the crosses, there is no desecration taking place here, but a quest for the truth and closure for
the families. We ask you to please write a letter (best), email or twitter the officials listed below so that these children may at last be re-united with their loved ones. We
are supported by many politicians, these being in the list. These powerful people are still facing opposition that would hide this shameful episode of Florida's history. It is
time to show your support. Thank you and God Bless you all.

Dear Friends,

I am taking the liberty to ask for your help.  We need a ground swell of “personal contact” to all elected officials, both State and Federal to resolve, once and for all, the
“Dozier School Burial Ground” with unmarked graves.

PLEASE..........................Tell your elected officials, especially Governor Rick Scott, that you are tired of the political posturing and that “Our State”, “Your State”, “and the
people of this state”, require that the State step up and do the right thing.  Support USF, grant the exhumation request,  and fulfill the State’s obligation to return the
remains of loved ones to their families.

Be sure to include:

State Representative Kelli Stargell
State Representative Seth McKeel
Commissioner of Agriculture, Adam Putnam
Senator Bill Nelson,
Senator Marco Rubio
Governor Rick Scott
Attorney General, Pam Bondi,
Chief Financial Officer, State of Florida, Jeff Atwater.

Please contact as many as you can, by letter. (Letters are always more effective, with your personal message and signature.)   E-mail if you don’t send a letter.  And
please encourage all your friends, family, VFW clubs, civic clubs, media contacts, etc. to make contact with elected officials now. We need an all out effort and we need it
in the coming Seven (7) days. I humbly request your support, NOW!  I need all the help we can muster and time is of the essence!
Please ask everyone you know to send a message to as many elected officials as possible.
Anyone who can help me broaden this contact campaign, I would be forever grateful.

Kindest Regards,

Glen R. Varnadoe

U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, who participated at a news conference where the
DNA samples were taken, said he suspects USF will eventually get a permit
to exhume graves at the controversial school. "You can't do something by
not doing anything when you find 50 bodies that were unaccounted for and
the state can simply not walk away from this," Nelson said.
